The Vancouver Island section of the Trans Canada Trail is approximately 200
km
and passes through scenic forest, mountain, coastal
rural areas, and
provincial parks visiting several communities along the route.
On paper the Vancouver Island section of the Trans Canada Trail extends from
Victoria to Nanaimo. In effect much of the trail is still incomplete or
uses existing roads as interim trail routes. There are however several areas of interest one can enjoy by driving to, parking then hiking or biking
in.
